San Francisco Bay Area's MPA Networks Marks 30 Years in Business and is The Oldest IT Consulting Firm in Northern California

Belmont, Calif., December 3, 2013 – MPA Networks (MPA), the longest serving Northern California IT consulting firm, is marking its 30th anniversary. The firm provides computer and network managed services for businesses and organizations of all sizes, serving the San Francisco Bay Area, the San Francisco peninsula, San Mateo County and San Jose.

Michael Price, the company's CEO, founded the firm in 1983 following the introduction of the then revolutionary IBM PC.

"Within days of the IBM PC's release, I opened the doors of MPA," says Price. "I figured people might need help with the personal computer."

Early on, the company targeted the legal, finance and healthcare markets. Those markets are still a prime focus, along with biotech, light manufacturing, professional services and nonprofits.

At the core of MPA's success is its commitment to increasing clients' productivity and performance with superior IT, and increasing ROI with the correct technology tools.

"Often sub-standard IT systems and poor maintenance hurt business output. Downtime as a result of IT failures and glitches is a familiar story in many offices, and a huge drain on resources and productivity," says Price. "One day of downtime can cost many businesses thousands of dollars, if not more, in lost output. We work to help clients avoid these types of disasters through better IT practices."
